PRIDE on-line training “graduates” - Supplementary training session

For those that have already completed the on-line PRIDE training, this session is a MUST. The supplementary training expands your knowledge in the areas of private and international adoption, as well as further considerations when pursuing an adoption through the Children’s Aid Society. Topics include:

• A review of all the different adoption processes and options
• Understanding open adoption relationships
• How to talk to your child about adoption
• Positive adoption language
• Adjustments of internationally adopted children
• Growing up adopted – presentations by adult
  adoptees
• Post adoption depression
• How to answer questions – privacy versus secrecy
• And, so much more…..

The training will include guest speakers in all different types of adoptions. Your knowledge in adoption will be greatly enhanced through this highly informative and enjoyable workshop. A full hot lunch and refreshments will be served.
